An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
